Want to bring your achievements and ambition to the attention of local employers?

Enter the Dorset ROCK Awards 2017

Back in 2012, Dorset based Recruitment Agency ‘Rock Recruitment’ launched an exciting awards event called  ‘Rock Awards’, celebrating talented young people and the companies that develop them into Dorset’s Stars of the Future.

Young people often get a bad press. Many under 26 year olds come through the doors at Rock with impressive academic results, achievements from work or other commitments and bags of determination and ambition. Not to mention that they see some candidates that show amazing courage and abilities despite the hand they’ve been dealt!

So, they decided it was time to bring these amazing young stars to the attention of Dorset’s employers. Dorset has some of the most exciting, inspirational businesses in the country and they feel young candidates and these employers need a common ground to meet and understand each other better.

The 2017 Rock Awards event is going to be bigger and better than before, taking place on Thursday 19th October 2017 at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth. With three new exciting award categories to enter this year, they are expanding the awards to cover Bournemouth’s expanding digital and creative industries.

Who can apply to Rock Awards 2017?

The Rock Awards are for people who are aged between 16-26 who are innovative, hardworking and ambitious. A person that has started their own business. An all-round brilliant employee. A person with bags of determination or impressive academic achievements. Students that go the extra mile. Companies that develop fantastic stars of the future. Or someone that inspires others.

Why get involved?

For the pride, the glory, the recognition. Not to mention it’s something excellent to put on your CV and is a practical and different experience to add to an application or to discuss in an interview.. The big trophy. Networking opportunities be it for an internship, a post graduate role or a full time job. Advice and guidance from industry experts. The chance to dress up, enjoy the entertainment, eat the delicious food and meet with 400 others from companies across Dorset and Hampshire.
