Since 2013 BCS has been working in partnership with the Department for Education to offer a teaching scholarship aimed at creating the next generation of Computing teachers for our secondary schools. To date, the scheme has proved a great success with more than 1000 applications over the four years it has been running.
In September 2014 the curriculum changed to ‘computing’ from ‘ICT’ and has computer science now at it’s heart. This change has fuelled the demand for new computing teachers and therefore BCS are running a scholarship scheme to identify trainee computing teachers.
