Action Challenge are looking for students who would like the opportunity to gain valuable event experience by freelancing for us as Event Support Staff throughout our 2017 season. We are an events company who for the last 17 years have been organising a number of UK mass participation charity challenges as well as International Challenges.
Action Challenge has raised over £50 million for charity and now organises over 100 events each year. Our biggest set of events are the Ultra Challenge series – these consist of 5 of the UK’s biggest endurance challenges and will see people walk, jog or run 25km, 50km or 100km. We expect that more than £8 million will be raised for charity on these set of events.

The Roles – This is a great opportunity for any student studying Events and is keen to gain some hands-on experience, or for anyone who is looking for weekend work throughout the summer to earn some extra cash.
Event Support Staff – These roles can include setting up and breaking down the site, Marshalling, First Aiders, Site Maintenance and Signage.
Management Staff – For people with more experience we will offer roles from Hospitality Managers, Site Managers to Route Managers.

These shifts are regularly 12 hours – Some of the events take place over a number of days, so the shifts can vary from Saturday day, Saturday night and Sunday day shifts. You will get paid for working on our events, the amount will vary on your previous experience. All food and drink will be provided for you during the events and it will be great for your CV.
It is very common for those that commit to several events get rewarded in pay and take on more responsibility.
Candidates will need to be:
Enthusiastic, pro active and have a genuine interest in our events.
Able to use your initiative.
Have Confidence and good interpersonal skills.
Motivated to encourage others where needed.
Able to work weekends over the events season.
