Confirmed: aspiring barristers will face aptitude test for BPTC entry

Would-be barristers will face a compulsory aptitude test for entry to the Bar professional training course (BPTC) as of September 2012.

The Legal Services Board (LSB) confirmed this week that the Bar course aptitude test (BCAT), which has been under discussion for several years, will be introduced in autumn for 2013 courses.
